Whether you are after a family beach holiday, visits to castles and gardens, walking, cycling, windsurfing, bird watching, golf or just a quiet relaxing time then Mansard Cottage is well placed for your stay.

 

Embleton is a village on a stretch of the Northumberland coast which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

 

The A1 and Alnwick (with the Duchess of Northumberland’s Garden and Barter Books,

 the famous second hand book shop in the old station) are 7 miles away.

 

Also close by are Craster (famous for kippers), Seahouses (excursions to the Farne Islands), Warkworth, Bamburgh, and Lindisfarne with their ancient castles, Berwick, the Scottish Borders and the Cheviot hills. You can catch a bus just round the corner to go up or down the coast - especially handy for linear walks - and to Alnwick.There is plenty to do all year round.

Mansard Cottage:-

 

A detached 3 bedroom self catering cottage (sleeps 5) and small garden

with barbecue overlooking open countryside on the edge of Embleton which

has a typical village shop with Post Office, a garage with shop, three pubs,

an hotel and a links golf course.

 

Ground Floor 

Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, conventional and

microwave ovens.

Living room and dining areas are separated by a chimney breast with

open fire and archway to either side. TV, DVD and video provided.

 

Upstairs 

3 bedrooms, one large double bedded, one twin and a small single.

Bathroom/ wc with shower over bath.

 

The cottage has full central heating and constant hot water.

 

Mansard Cottage is non-smoking and regrettably we are unable

to accept pets.

 

There is parking for three cars next to the cottage, shared amicably with our

neighbour, and on the road nearby.

 

We can be flexible, especially off peak, so please feel free to call and discuss your requirements.
